The Library Captains are chosen to provide leadership in the area of Literature and Asia Literacy. They are chosen not only for their ability in Literature, but also for their dedication, enthusiasm and commitment to Literature within Berwick Lodge Primary School. They are expected to be a role model to younger students, to promote Literature throughout B.L.P.S and to work towards enhancing the profile of Literature at our school. This year I am proud to announce that Con 6W and Shenelle 6N are our Library Captains for 2012!
2012 Library/Asia Studies Captains - Shenelle and Con
The Library Captains are expected to:
- Promote various Literature and Asia Literacy studies to younger students at B.L.P.S
- Assist with the organization of the Library on a regular basis
- Assist with Library displays
- Assist with the organizing and running of special Library events; such as Book Week
- Assist with activities and borrowing when the Library is open during lunchtimes
- Speak at B.L.P.S assemblies as required (awards, library news, etc)
- Act as a guide on B.L.P.S open nights or be available in the Library
- Assist with the School Magazine Library Page
- Promote Literature; including Asia Literacy competitions
- Assist with the Library blog
