In prep at the moment we are learning about the elements of a book – Title, Author, Illustrator and Cover.
The book we read was “Don’t Count your Chickens,” by Simon Puttock. The preps identified the elements of the book and then we completed an activity where we had to make a chicken of our own.
We cut out the pieces for our chicken and put them together, then we pasted on googly eyes and yellow feathers. They turned out to be very cute chickens!
The chickens look really cute and it must of been fun for you, Mrs Cook and the preps!
