In week 2 and week 3 of Term 3 the Year 5 and 6 students have been enthusiastically filming their shadow puppet plays. They all did such a wonderful job and I could tell they enjoyed the activity by the enthusiasm they showed and the smiles on their faces! (I have included some still photos from a selection of the films below).

Grade 1K think your shadow puppets are awesome. They can’t wait to learn how to make shadow puppets.
The Shadow Puppets were awesome. I would like to reccomend this unit to any year level. It is fun and it will boost your confidence in performing infront of your grade.

The Shadow Puppetry pictures looked very nice and so did the Puppets, everybody did a great job and it has been really fun in the Library. Thank you Bu Vine for the great specialist class.
Hi Miss Vine, I loved doing the shadow puppets – they were awesome. I loved working with my group and creating our own story. You could let you imagination go wild. The actual puppets looked fantastic at the end and it was fun making them. I can’t wait to start filming and continuing on with the project!

The shadow puppets were fun to make. By looking at these photos, these students look like they had fun too. Although my class hasn’t done the videos yet, it has been a great subject to learn!!!!!!!! I love libary ,its very awesome and fun. LET YOUR IMAGINATION GO WILD!!!!

I really enjoy working on the shadow puppets and they all look great. It was fun working in groups. I look forward to continuing on with the puppets in library. It was awesome that we got the chance to do this. We could do anything we wanted for the story which was great!

I loved doing the shadow puppets, they were fun and most of them were really funny. It was a bit hard to make them, but we still had fun.

I had so much fun making the shadow puppets and writing the scripts with my friends.The performance was so much fun. And even though we had to replace some characters it was still awesome.

I know I am in grade 4, but my sister is in grade 6 and she liked making the shadow puppets. She said that they looked really cool in the end.
